Produce OASIS Tip of the Day
May 23 - Snow Pea Tips:
Good-quality snow peas will have flat pods that are firm and crisp with
immature-looking peas inside. The coloring will be an even light to medium-green.
They should be 3 to 3 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide.
Avoid product with soft, limp pods or blemishes. Also avoid snow peas where
the peas inside approach the size of regular green peas.
Available year-round, peaking November through March. Washington snow peas
are available June through October.
OASIS has much more information on peas & beans.
