June 20 - Chives Facts & Selection Tips:
Chives are a mild, onion-flavored herb. Use chives in fish, chicken or egg
dishes or a baked potato. Use with any buttered vegetable like carrots,
beans, corn, squash, peas, cauliflower or mushrooms.
In general, herbs should be fresh looking, crisp and brightly-colored.
Avoid herbs that are wilted, have dry brown areas, or are pale or yellow
in color. Slimy looking dark spots with small areas of mold indicate old
product or poor handling.
