1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks1/3 cup watera pinchof MSG(optional)3 tablespoon vinegar1 tablespoon soy sauce1/2 cup packed brown sugar3 tablespoons conrstarch1 batch of 30 meatballs(frozen or thawed)1 large green,red pepper,cut into 1 inch piecesHot cooked rice (optional)
YOU CAN MAKE AHEAD MEATBALLS(OPTIONAL)4 eggs2 cups dry bread crumbs1/2 cup finely chopped onion1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce (or you can use the soy sauce you like)1/2 teaspoon white pepper(or black pepper)4 pounds lean ground beefMix all the ingredients,mix well and shape into a balls about 12 dozenDrain pineapple,reserving juice.Set pineapple aside.Add water to juice if needed to measure 1 cup,pour into a large skillet.Add1/3 cup water,vinegar,soy sauce,brown sugar and cornstarch,stir until smooth.Cook over medium heat until thick,stirring constantly.Add pineapple,meatballs and green and red pepper.Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes or until heated through.You can serve over rice(optional)
