SALAD:2 Bosc pears1/2 cup whole peeled walnuts3-4 oz of Gruyere or Gouda cheeseDRESSING:1/4 c. olive oilJuice of 2 med. limesSalt and pepper
1. Cut cheese into small strips (julienne-style).2. Peel pears and cut into quarters or fourths.3. Whisk dressing ingredients and pour over cheese and pears. Add walnuts.
To crack coconuts, pierce one or two of the eyes and drain the milk.
Place in the freezer for an hour, or in a 350°F. oven for 20-30 minutes. (...)
