Good-quality Raspberries will be firm, plump and dry.
Avoid product that is smashed, leaking juice or has mold.
Also avoid product that is too firm, green or is still attached to the stem.
Raspberries are one of the most delicate fruits so be careful when storing them. Store unwashed raspberries between 34 and 38 degrees.
Do not allow raspberries to freeze or they may become damaged for fresh use.
If you want to freeze Raspberries for long-term storage, dry them first and place them on a cookie sheet in a single layer and place them in your freezer. Once frozen, you can place them in sealed freezer containers for six to eight months.
After picking, berries will get more juicy, but their sugar content does not increase much.
