Kent Mangoes
Kent Mangoes are one of the best kept secrets of the mango world. They are flavorful and relatively string-free.
Kent Mangoes are one of the best varieties available in the States. Known for their fiber-less meat, they are often misjudged as being green because
they don't show as much color as other varieties when ripe.
Selection Information
Usage: Often dead green on the outside, Kent mangoes will show some color when ripe. They are easily one of the most string-free, juicy and
thin-seeded mangoes available.
Great as a center piece when the halves are cut in a criss-cross pattern and inverted.
Selection & Storage: Close your eyes and choose Mangoes by their give to gentle pressure not their color. Look for them to be medium to
large in size - around 7-10 count per case for Kent's.
Avoid: Avoid Kent Mangoes that over soft or have bruising.
Seasonal Information
The best Kent Mangoes are available around July.

Mangoes are very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium.
They're also a good source of Dietary Fiber and Vitamin B6,
and a very good source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C.
Organic Availability
There is spotty availability of organic Kents, but they aren't impossible to find.
Juicing
Buy mangoes up at low costs by the case and freeze what you don't eat immediately. Mangoes are perfect for the blender or juicer at a later date.
