Selection Information
Usage: Desserts, baking, juicing, jams and jellies.
Selection: Good-quality Raspberries will be firm, plump and dry. Colors include red, purple and recently a gold variety became available.
Avoid: Avoid product that is smashed, leaking juice or has mold. Also avoid product that is too firm, green or is still attached to the stem.
Seasonal Information
Available from May through October with peaks in June and early September. About 90 percent of commercial supplies are grown in California, Oregon and Washington.
Washington raspberries are available during July and August.
